Aug 29, 2014 · The seed corn was stored much the same way, but being braided together differentiated it from corn that was just for eating, as opposed to selected cobs for planting. I also do smaller braids, … corn braid. The leaves fall out easily and can become very brittle. It is a fine braid for keeping in the freezer, but very painful to keep when it is hot out. It takes a little longer for it to get to the skin's surface, and can even break off a piece if left for too long. I prefer to keep this for at least two years, and the results are always well worth it. It's pretty easy to buy, and very nutritious. I also love that it takes 6 months to grow.
