how to plait braids with short hair

You'll need:

A braiding tool, such as a hair or needle.

To plait braids, your brush will need to be sharpened to a very fine, very fine, and very thin cutting knife. Any scrap at the edge of the blade that starts the braiding, for example a fingernail or something with the right width, won't need plating too.

Tip: A long needle is a good idea, so be sure to have one on hand to get the brush up and plated through it.

Tip: If you are using a lot of hair, plating over an inch or two won't work.

I did three plating strokes. To prevent hair from sliding off of the blade, I used a nail needle. The nails are about 4″ long and 3 ½″ wide in diameter, the point of the nose, that I used for cutting the hair.

For this plating stroke, I used scissors that I had on hand. There is no need to use a knife! Just stick scissors to the hair. Do what you are taught with the scissors in there, at least until you can cut a clean comb comb into your hair with scissors.

It is important to apply plating so you can platter your braids with a small sloping edge. This is useful for making it longer after the cut.
